SRI SEETA RAMA KALYAANAM : SUNDAY APRIL 5TH

In the A:GAMA SCRIPTURES it is quoted, "YASYA AVATHA:RA DIVASE: THASYA KALYA:NA MA:CHARE:TH" — 'Kalyaana utsavam should be performed to those particular incarnations on their birthday's itself.'
The reason to celebrate the divine Kalyaanam is : The purpose of His incarnation is to do good to the world. That goodness can be achieved only through His mercy. Goodness is the personification of mercy (dayaa) of God. When He comes down to Earth, immediately mercy, the divine Mother, also comes down along with him. Though both of them are always together, we His devotees feel blissful to see them being joined in union to uplift His devotees (Kalyaanam).

KALYAANAM GUIDELINES:
All sponsors should be at the facility by 9:30 am so that people can be seated and follow the briefing by the priest. The Kalyaanam will start at 10:00 am. People who come late would miss the initial activities.
A bag containing all the required Kalyaanam materials will be given at the door after registration.

Please dress in traditional Indian attire.
Sponsors who desire to present new clothes to Lord Rama and Sita, please remember to bring them with you. They will be returned with blessings from the Lord after completion of the kalyaanam. The normal practice is to offer a sari to Maata Sita and a shirt or a vastram to Lord Rama.
Sponsors can also make sweets (home made only) to offer to the Lord after kalyaanam. These sweets will be returned as prasadam.

Directions from Veteran's Parkway North :
- From Veterans Parkway (N) make a left on to Fort Jesse Road
- Pass Towanda Avenue signal light and keep going on Fort Jesse Road
- At Beech Street signal light take a right turn
- Pass stop sign, keep going on Beech Street
- On the right look for the sign — "Normal One Plaza, (Douglas St. & Mulberry School)
- Take a right towards Normal One Plaza and Mulberry School.
